Lizzie Chapman

Lizzie Chapman is the CEO & Co-Founder of ZestMoney - India’s largest and fastest-growing Buy Now, Pay Later Network in India. ZestMoney is deeply integrated with the largest brands in India including Amazon, Flipkart, MakeMyTrip, Myntra, Nykaa, and Apple among others. Lizzie started her career as an equity research analyst with Goldman Sachs in London. Her focus was on Global Financials. After a 5 year stint at Goldman Sachs, she then moved to the buy-side as an investor at Wellcome Trust. In 2011, she moved from the United Kingdom to India to set up and spearhead the India operations for digital lender Wonga, one of the biggest fintech companies in the world at that point. In 2014 she joined the Development Bank of Singapore and led the launch of ‘Digibank’, India’s first mobile-app only bank. Lizzie currently serves on the boards of IndiaMart (India’s Alibaba) and IndiaQuotient (early-stage investment fund) and Cloudnine Hospitals. She is a founding member and serves on the Executive Committee of the Digital Lending Association of India and on the Innovation Council of the National Payments Corporation of India. Lizzie is a leading figure in the fintech landscape of India. She was nominated by the Govt of India to the National Startup Council and advises the government on measures to nurture and boost innovation in the country. She was awarded the prestigious Economic Times Startup Award 2021 and also recognized as among the Top 100 women in fintech globally by Fintech magazine. Lizzie is also a passionate fitness enthusiast and runner. Her favourite memory is the 42.4 Km marathon in Antarctica and she has loved being a pacer for the Mumbai marathon.

I have innate skill to bring order to chaos and to manage multiple projects and have a penchant for “keeping it simple”. A fast-paced environment where constant change is the norm and the bar for delivering results is set high brings the best out of me. I define- design-deliver high quality software products with distributed teams. I have outstanding problem solving, analytical capabilities with a high aptitude to learn, adapt, and perform in a “fluid” team environment.

Lizzie Chapman
