• Administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX)
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux-based environments.
• Building out, maintaining, and troubleshooting a rapidly expanding infrastructure.

You’ll Be Improving & Responsible For –

• Managing and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Monitoring and testing application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Maintaining security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Writing and maintaining custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Participating in the design of information and operational support systems
• Providing 2nd and 3rd level support
• Liaising with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Your Experience Across The Years in the Roles You’ve Played -

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box) and monitoring systems
• Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef)
• Extensive scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
