Roles and Responsibilities


What You Will Do:
  • We seek an experienced Product Design Director who enjoys obsessing over design consistency and empathizing with users needs to simple experience in complex enterprise software.
  • You will report to our AVP of Design and work with our Design PGM, Design Managers, and designers, hosting in-depth design reviews and ensuring consistency with our design system, Hyperspace. This includes providing design solutions for our platform and working with developers to ensure 100% alignment in execution. You will also work closely with research and users to understand our personas and cross-product functions.
  • You will work with developers to ensure execution is 100% as intended.
What We Are Looking for:
  • Ensure 100% design consistency through design reviews and ensure development alignment through QA
  • Identify inconsistencies and initiate changes as required
  • Introduce improvements in the design process to improve design efficiency
  • Working with team leaders to prioritize design reviews and work with product to ensure review deadlines are being met
  • Lead peer-to-peer reviews to increase awareness of our design system, hyperspace
  • Manage and coordinate daily design reviews on all design projects
  • QA/review the coded version of the UI prior & work with the developers to ensure updates are made
  • Provide constructive unbiased feedback in written or verbal format
  • Manage, implement, and maintain the consistency in the design system
  • Oversee product design submission / approval process
  • Collaborate with product designers to ensure superb design, usability, and consistency of platform patterns.
  • Participate in research activities such as user research interviews
  • Work closely with individual designers on consistency and design pattern development.
  • Work closely with developers to QA, provide direction and reach user-driven solutions.
Who You Are
  • Creative and open to critique with the ability to focus on the design challenges of creating software experiences.
  • You are an excellent problem solver and can provide quick solutions to complex design problems for software interactions. You have excellent written and verbal skills that include expressing your ideas to designers and developers.
What Makes You Qualified
  • Obsessive over design and maintaining consistency
  • Highly communicative and collaborative with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with Figma, Miro and other design software
  • Experience building and shipping software
  • Experience working within a design team
  • Experience working with developers
  • Knowledge of design systems such as Styled Components and Material Desig
  • Experience detailing workflows and user journeys
  • Experience solving user stories and scenarios
  • Experience testing user experiences with users using software such as UserZoom
