Roles and Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
● The role of the insurance relationship manager is to build and manage relationships with the Insurance companies
● Establish relationships with Sales leaders and underwriters of all insurance companies. Have relationships with regional offices of PSU insurance companies
● Be primarily responsible for getting the best quotations across insurers, handle negotiations around policy terms and price
● Additionally help with post-policy placement assistance including following up with the Insurance companies for policy copy, TPA eCards, tax invoice, benefits chart & others
● Vetting the policy copies against the promised terms to the clients
● Liaising with Insurers & TPAs to support internal team
● Be the main point of contact to manage insurer relationships
You’re Awesome At -
● Prior experience having worked in the group health insurance space at Insurance broking companies
● Strong relationship building capabilities across multiple levels of the organisation
● Excellent oral and written communication
● Ability to engage with Insurance companies/TPAs across multiple regions, and ability to diplomatically navigate complex situations
● Utmost integrity and transparency
● Desire to work in fast-paced, multitasking, fluid environment with changing priorities
● Strong ability to work independently, build processes that scale and manage one's time, with minimum oversight
● Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
● Understanding of several tools and products to be independently tracking work on product initiatives, putting research together , design and collaterals for some of the initiatives (external/internal) or influencing and advising to the internal teams
● Willingness and ability to learn new hacks and tools quickly
Your background and experience -
● 4-6 years of experience related to group health insurance at an insurance broking firm
● Working day-to-day on getting quotes from multiple PSU insurer offices and top private insurers. Having exiting relationships with >25+ insurer offices
● Ability to support 100+ RFQs a month
