Roles and Responsibilities

You may fit if you have 
• Belief in operational excellence 
• Proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks 
• Demonstrable experience of working on Linux and Shell scripting 
• Strong programming skills - Python/Go. Basic understanding of data structures and algorithms 
• Production Server environment handling experience of minimum 3 years • Basic knowledge and understanding of NoSQL databases and MongoDB • Building monitoring and alerting layer - basic knowledge is preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Be on a rotation to respond to availability and data ingestion incidents 
• Ensure 99.9% uptime of systems and application services by proactively monitoring important sub systems 
• Making sure monitoring and alerting are in place for symptoms not on outages 
• Think about systems - edge cases, failure modes, behaviors, specific implementations 
• Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding 
• Understand all the new systems/sub-systems and changes going in for the existing systems from functional, architectural and integration point of view and Create monitoring KPIs for any change in the system 
• Monitor and raise the bugs and get those solved on priority, come-up with alternate solutions till the time bugs are solved 
• Working Days are generally 6 days a week i.e. from Monday to Saturday. Saturdays are based on requirements
