Roles and Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced technical lead to join our team. As the technical lead, you will oversee the company’s technical team and all projects they undertake, from API development, FE development, mobile app development to dev-ops. You should be able to work with the team and inspire them to reach their goals.
To be successful as a technical lead, you should always be expanding your industry knowledge and be able to quickly identify problems. Outstanding technical leads are accountable, trustworthy, and have the required technical expertise across a variety of fields.
Project Responsibilities:
- Take up responsibility for all the tech projects within the company.
- Architecting technical features as per the requirements from the product team
- Implementing best practices and coding standards for all tech projects.
- Oversee software testing, especially automated tests
- Work on identifying the project risk and plan mitigation actions with the PM at the project level.
- Lead should be proactive while reacting to the Severity 1 issues and be available to rectify them.
- Perform root cause analysis of all critical errors and document prevention steps
- Lead should also work on constantly increasing the productivity of the team and reducing operational inefficiencies
- Tech Lead should inspire all the other team members, a Lead who is looked upon by all the members.
General Responsibilities:
- Technical Lead should be flexible enough and be adaptable to the changing and varied work settings.
- You will need to interface between the tech team and the management.
- It's important to be firm but equally fair too. Admitting your mistakes is also equally important.
- In order to lead the team successfully it is important to set targets and expectations for the team.
- Constantly motivate and encourage the team to give their best, especially during times when they are pressurized with high targets.
- Make yourself completely aware of all the technologies thoroughly, especially the ones associated with software or applications which are under construction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in a similar role in the past would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ideally this would be a Bangalore based role thereby you should be able to relocate to Bangalore if required.
- Should have a good eye for UI/UX
- Built high growth, large scale consumer products in the past
- Have the following tech skills:ASP.NET Core (preferred) or other BE MVC Frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Django, etc. SQL and NoSQL databases Experience with Javascript frameworks like Angular 8 (preferred), React, Vue, etc Experience with AWS cloud architecture is a must. Docker. Familiarity with hybrid mobile app development frameworks like ReactNative and Flutter is a bonus. Familiarity with ML technologies is a bonus.
